WARRI/Nigeria: Flybird Group is set to unveil a new generation of integrated aviation solutions aimed at transforming offshore and onshore energy operations as it makes a major appearance at the 25th Nigeria Oil and Gas (NOG) Energy Week Conference and Exhibition in Abuja.

The company said its Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) division will showcase cutting-edge drone technologies alongside its broader vision of delivering comprehensive aviation services tailored to the evolving needs of Africa’s energy industry.

The exhibition, scheduled to hold from July 5 to 9, is expected to serve as a strategic platform for Flybird Group to engage industry stakeholders, forge new partnerships and demonstrate its expanding capabilities across the aviation and oil and gas value chain.

Chief Executive Officer of Flybird RPAS, Mrs. Chanel Scott, said in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos that the event represents a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into integrated aviation services for the energy sector.

According to her, the increasing adoption of unmanned aviation technologies by energy companies has created new opportunities for safer, smarter and more efficient operations, positioning Flybird RPAS to provide intelligent aerial solutions for the oil and gas, infrastructure and other critical industries.

She disclosed that the company would also use the conference to present its plans for expanding into offshore helicopter operations, offering personnel transportation, logistics support, emergency response, aerial surveillance and other specialised aviation services for offshore energy operators across West Africa.

Scott noted that the planned expansion complements Flybird Group’s growing portfolio, which already includes aircraft management, business aviation, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), RPAS operations and aviation advisory services.

She said the company’s integrated approach reinforces its position as a trusted aviation partner capable of delivering end-to-end solutions for the energy industry.

“Drone technology has become an operational necessity for organisations seeking safer, smarter and more cost-effective operations,” Scott said.

“NOG Energy Week provides an excellent platform to showcase our capabilities, build strategic partnerships and demonstrate that indigenous companies can deliver world-class aviation technology solutions that meet international standards.”

Also speaking, Flybird Group’s Head of Corporate Services, Dr. Tracy Wilson, described the conference as an important opportunity to deepen stakeholder engagement and showcase the company’s expanding portfolio of aviation services.

She said the event would further strengthen partnerships that would drive the future growth of Africa’s energy sector.

“As we continue to grow across aircraft management, RPAS, offshore helicopter services and aviation support, we remain committed to operational excellence, strong corporate governance and delivering long-term value to our clients and partners,” Wilson said.

On his part, the Group Managing Director of Flybird Group, Capt. Ahmed Borodo, said the company is building a fully integrated aviation ecosystem designed to support every segment of the energy value chain.

He explained that by combining aircraft management, business aviation, RPAS, offshore helicopter services, MRO and aviation advisory services under one brand, Flybird Group is positioning itself as a one-stop provider of innovative, reliable and safe aviation solutions.

“Our participation at NOG Energy Week reflects our commitment to supporting Africa’s energy industry through strategic investment, local capacity development and operational excellence,” Borodo said.

He added that visitors to the Flybird RPAS exhibition stand would have the opportunity to experience advanced drone applications developed to improve infrastructure inspections, reduce operational costs, minimise human exposure to hazardous environments and provide real-time aerial intelligence to support faster and more informed operational decision-making.

Flybird Group said its participation at this year’s NOG Energy Week underscores its commitment to leveraging indigenous innovation and advanced aviation technology to enhance efficiency, safety and sustainability across Nigeria’s and Africa’s rapidly evolving energy landscape.
