ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, has commended the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, KSC, for what he described as sustained efforts to promote peace and security in the council area.

Ahon made the commendation in a birthday message to Egbo, who clocked 57 on Sunday, describing the council chairman as a purposeful leader whose administration had remained focused on the welfare of the people and the development of the area.

He said the relative stability required for meaningful development could not be achieved without deliberate attention to peace and security, noting that Egbo had made these issues important aspects of his administration.

According to Ahon, Egbo’s two years in office had also reflected a commitment to grassroots governance, with his leadership approach aimed at strengthening confidence among residents and other stakeholders in Ughelli North.

“On behalf of my family, friends and political associates, I warmly felicitate my brother, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, on the occasion of his 57th birthday,” Ahon said.

He added that Egbo’s tenure had been characterised by “courage, vision and an unwavering commitment” to the development of communities across the local government.

Ahon particularly praised the council chairman’s efforts to restore peace and security, stressing that an atmosphere of insecurity would undermine development efforts and negatively affect the wellbeing of residents.

The governor’s spokesman expressed confidence that Egbo would draw on his experience and political goodwill to further advance the interests of the people of Ughelli North.

He wished the council chairman good health, wisdom and renewed strength, while praying that his new year would bring greater opportunities for service and more accomplishments in the years ahead.
