IBADAN/Nigeria: Muslim community at Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) has commended the immediate past Executive Chairman, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, for his efforts in promoting Islamic culture and his respect for all religions. Mr. Adebami Raji, speaking on behalf of the community, expressed gratitude to Adeniran for his significant contributions to the development of the board’s mosque.
According to Adebami, under Adeniran’s leadership, the mosque has become a center for Islamic studies, attracting worshippers from far and wide who come to learn about the rich heritage and teachings of Islam. Adebami further acknowledged that over the past four years, Adeniran had been an exemplary ambassador of the Muslim community, actively promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding among different religious communities.
Adebami also highlighted Adeniran’s role in fostering religious tolerance among the board’s staff members, stating that his contributions have been instrumental in achieving the community’s mission. Adebami expressed gratitude for Adeniran’s moral support and generous contributions during the state’s fight against COVID-19.
Imam Dawood Akande of the OYOSUBEB Mosque also praised Adeniran for his leadership, emphasizing that the relationship between Christians and Muslims flourished under his tenure. Akande mentioned that, following Adeniran’s instruction and supervision, Muslims at the board were able to observe Juma’at services at the mosque. He concluded by praying for Adeniran’s continued success in public service and asking for Almighty Allah’s blessings to fulfill his heart’s desires.
