ASABA/Nigeria: The Director General of the Technical Committee Secretariat on the Creation of Anioma State, Ogbueshi Godfrey Odogwu, has outlined key reasons why Senator Ned Munir Nwoko should be returned to the Senate for a second term, describing the lawmaker as a tested leader committed to the advancement of Anioma land and national development.

Odogwu said Senator Nwoko’s return to the Red Chamber would guarantee continuity in the ongoing campaign for the creation of Anioma State, insisting that the senator remains one of the strongest voices pushing for the actualisation of the proposed state with Asaba as its capital.

According to him, the Anioma State project has recorded significant legislative progress since 2023 through collaborations between Senator Nwoko and his colleagues in the National Assembly, warning that any disruption in representation could slow down or reverse the gains already achieved.

He maintained that continuity in leadership was necessary to ensure the successful completion of the state creation process and other strategic developmental initiatives affecting Delta North Senatorial District.

The Anioma State advocate further praised Senator Nwoko’s legislative performance in the 10th Senate, noting that his motions and bills cut across constitutional reforms, fiscal federalism, youth empowerment, healthcare delivery, social security, national security, diaspora participation and public sector accountability.

Odogwu said the senator’s performance had earned him multiple recognitions within the National Assembly, adding that many of his proposed legislations were of national importance and required continuity to become laws for the benefit of Nigerians and Anioma people in particular.

He also highlighted what he described as visible infrastructural and social interventions attracted to Delta North by the senator, including water supply projects, rural road construction, school renovation works, medical outreach programmes, solar electrification initiatives and agricultural support schemes across the nine local government areas of the district.

According to him, Senator Nwoko has demonstrated courage, vision and the political will required to confront structural challenges affecting the people, describing him as a leader with the intellectual depth and legislative strength needed to continue delivering results.

Odogwu further commended the senator’s philanthropic activities, saying he had consistently supported indigent students through scholarship schemes, assisted vulnerable persons with medical bills and empowered small business owners through financial support programmes.

He noted that Senator Nwoko enjoys widespread support among women, youths, farmers, artisans, professionals and students in Anioma land because of what he described as his accessibility, sincerity and open-door leadership style.

“People see him as genuine, approachable and respectful. He listens to the people and carries their hopes and aspirations,” Odogwu stated.

The Director General also praised Senator Nwoko for maintaining cordial relationships with traditional rulers across Anioma communities, saying the lawmaker regularly consults royal fathers and keeps them informed on developments surrounding the Anioma State creation campaign and other regional development efforts.

He said the senator has continued to enjoy the confidence and goodwill of many traditional institutions within Delta North.

Describing Senator Nwoko as one of the most effective representatives the district has produced in decades, Odogwu urged the people of Anioma to unite and support his re-election bid to enable him consolidate on his achievements and continue pursuing the aspirations of the region.

He expressed confidence that with massive support from the people, Senator Nwoko would secure another impactful term in the Senate and continue advancing the interests of Ndi Anioma.
