ASABA/Nigeria: The Director-General of the Senator Ned Nwoko Campaign Council, Hon. Samuel Ekene Kerry, has declared that Senator Ned Nwoko’s performance in the Senate has justified growing calls for his re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kerry said the Delta North lawmaker had distinguished himself through impactful representation, legislative productivity and developmental interventions across Anioma land within a relatively short period in office.

Speaking on the senator’s achievements, the campaign council boss described Nwoko as a courageous and result-oriented legislator whose contributions at the National Assembly had positioned him among the leading voices in the 10th Senate.

According to him, Senator Nwoko has continued to demonstrate strong commitment to the development of Delta North and Nigeria through strategic legislative initiatives and advocacy-driven representation.

Kerry noted that his decision to serve as Director-General of the campaign council despite being from Ika North-East Local Government Area — the same area as one of the senator’s political opponents — reflected his conviction that Nwoko remained the best candidate to represent Delta North Senatorial District.

He also applauded the senator’s sustained campaign for the creation of Anioma State, describing the movement as one of the most significant political developments in the history of the region.

According to him, the agitation for Anioma State has elevated the region’s relevance in national political discourse while opening fresh conversations about equity, development and political inclusion for the people of Delta North.

Kerry maintained that the proposed Anioma State would bring enormous political and economic benefits to the people, adding that the progress already recorded in the advocacy should encourage all Anioma stakeholders to unite behind Senator Nwoko’s leadership.

The campaign DG further commended Senator Nwoko’s legislative effectiveness, revealing that the lawmaker had sponsored over 31 bills and several motions within his current tenure in the Senate.

He specifically highlighted the senator’s role in the restoration of Aniocha North Constituency II, describing it as a landmark achievement that also paved the way for the recognition and release of other previously suppressed constituencies across Delta State.

Kerry added that the ongoing process concerning Ika North-East II at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was part of the wider gains arising from those efforts.

On infrastructure and constituency projects, he said Senator Nwoko had facilitated the installation of more than 2,000 streetlights and executed water projects in communities including Asaba, Idumuje-Ugboko, Onicha-Ugbo, Umunede and several other towns across Delta North.

He stressed that the senator remained deeply committed to the welfare and progress of the people of Delta North and urged constituents to support his re-election bid in 2027.

Kerry also appealed to Deltans to support the second term ambitions of President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, saying both leaders deserved another tenure based on what he described as their achievements in office.
