Novena University Ogume will be holding a seminar on public sector accounting at the university’s conference hall on Monday February 3rd 2014.
The seminar, which is hosted by the department of accounting and finance, is organised in keeping with the university’s tradition of providing her students with qualitative and globally competitive education. Professor Sulaiman A. S. Arewa, Director of Governmental and Financial Accounting Research Centre, Newswatch state university, Kofi, will be the guest lecturer.
The renowned researcher, scholar and publisher of 53 peer reviewed national and international journals, 9 textbooks and 19 proceedings from local and international conferences, will in his lecture dwell on new developments in governmental accounting system, procedure and issues in public accounting and accountability.
Professor Arewa’s extensive experience as member ANAN, chartered institute of taxation of Nigeria, vice president, nigeria accounting association, and fellow, European entrepreneurship Educators will be brought to bear on the irritation of this lecture.
