ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its State Congress will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Cenotaph along High Court Road, Asaba.
In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the party disclosed that the congress is scheduled to commence at 10 a.m., in accordance with the APC constitution and the guidelines for nationwide congresses approved by the National Working Committee.
The statement noted that the exercise is being convened by the State Working Committee under the leadership of the State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, and will bring together statutory delegates, key stakeholders and party leaders from across Delta State.
Expected to participate are the Governor and Deputy Governor, members of the National Advisory Council from the state, the State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee, as well as serving and former members of the National Assembly.
Also invited are members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), current and past members of the Delta State House of Assembly, elected local government chairmen and their deputies, and councillors from across the state.
The party further indicated that Local Government Area Executive Committee chairmen, secretaries and members will attend, alongside five delegates from each ward — including two women members of the Zonal Executive Committee — as well as ward executives comprising the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Woman Leader, Youth Leader and Special Leader from the 270 wards in the state.
In addition, all leaders who participated in the Stakeholders’ Meeting of January 23, 2026, are expected to be present.
The APC reaffirmed its commitment to its “Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda,” and called on party faithful to turn out in large numbers for the congress.
