ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Government has called on indigenes of the state who successfully completed online applications for the ongoing nationwide recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables to take part in the forthcoming physical and credential screening exercise.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, urged eligible candidates to visit the official recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to confirm their application status and print the required screening documents.

He explained that the exercise, being conducted by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, is scheduled to hold from March 9 to April 18, 2026. Candidates are expected to present key documents including their Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credential Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form at their designated screening centres on the dates and times stated on their invitation slips.

Dr. Oghenesivbe emphasized that applicants must also appear with their Invitation Slip bearing the assigned table number, original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or NIMC-issued card, O’ Level certificate (GCE/SSCE), birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of state or local government of origin. Specialist applicants, he noted, are required to present relevant trade test or professional certificates.

He further advised that all credentials should be properly arranged in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached. Candidates are to attend the screening in white T-shirts, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.

According to him, the recruitment process aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s job and wealth creation drive under the MORE Agenda.

The state government encouraged Delta applicants to make the most of the opportunity by adhering strictly to all guidelines and conducting themselves responsibly throughout the exercise, while wishing them success in their pursuit of a career in the Nigeria Police Force.
