ASABA/Nigeria: Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, and National Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, has extended warm felicitations to London-based socialite and philanthropist, Comrade Jolly Iguodala, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a congratulatory message marking Iguodala’s new age on March 24, 2026, Nwaeke described the Edo-born celebrant as an “extraordinary brother and friend” with whom he has shared over three and a half decades of enduring relationship.
He noted that Iguodala’s leadership trajectory dates back to his student days, where he served as President of the Association of Mass Communication Students at Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, and later as President of the Student Union Government of Delta State University, Abraka, roles he said reflected a deep passion for excellence and service.
Highlighting their long-standing personal bond, Nwaeke said their relationship, which began as students, has continued to flourish across decades and continents.
“Jolly and I are not just fellow alumni of Auchi Polytechnic and Delta State University, but close brothers and friends. We share unique and wonderful memories from our days in both institutions. God has been kind to us as the relationship continues to thrive, with good times shared in Nigeria and the United Kingdom,” he stated.
The Speaker’s aide further described Iguodala as a man who has grown into a formidable force in politics, philanthropy and international engagement, noting that his versatility and amiable personality have earned him respect and recognition on the global stage.
According to him, the celebrant remains a shining example of purposeful living and impactful leadership, whose life journey continues to inspire younger generations.
“We are celebrating a champion of excellence and service, a distinguished son of Nigeria and a shining star on the global stage. His remarkable journey is truly commendable and will continue to inspire many. He exhibited trailblazing leadership even in his school days,” Nwaeke added.
