ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has paid glowing tribute to its Vice Chairman, Elder Chukwudi Abiandu, as the veteran journalist and Publisher of Banner Online News clocked 70, describing his career as a testament to professionalism, ethical journalism and service to society.
In a statement signed by the Forum’s Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, FCISM, MNIPR, DOPF said Abiandu’s more than three decades in journalism, public communication and media consultancy have made him one of the respected voices in Delta State’s media industry, noting that his contributions continue to shape responsible online journalism.
The Forum said the media veteran has distinguished himself through balanced reporting, credible analysis and unwavering commitment to truth, qualities it noted have earned him the confidence of colleagues, public institutions and the wider public.
According to the statement, Abiandu has also played a significant role in mentoring young journalists and supporting the growth of digital journalism in Delta State, helping to strengthen professional standards in an increasingly evolving media environment.
DOPF further acknowledged his leadership as Vice Chairman, describing his experience, wisdom and calm disposition as valuable assets that have contributed to the Forum’s unity, credibility and steady growth since its formation.
The organisation said his guidance has continued to support its vision of promoting ethical online journalism, defending professional standards and encouraging responsible digital publishing across Delta State.
