Ossai Ossai Dole out SMEDAN Grants to People of Ndokwa
Hon Ossai Nicolas Ossai Personally Distributing the Grants
The member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Ossai Nicolas Ossai, has given out the sum of N44 million naira to about 800 Ndokwa people as part of his constituency functions.
The money which was part of 2015 SMEDAN grants to Nigerians was made possible through the efforts of the honourable member.
The distribution of the grant which affected the 3 LGA showed that:
N200, 000 was given to one person per ward in the 3 LGA, while two persons per ward received the sum of N100, 000 in Ndokwa East and Ukwuani LGA, and 10 persons per ward received N50, 000 in the three LGA and market women in the three LGA got N20,000.
However, apart from the quoted amounted above our investigation also showed that other persons were given some other amounts to improve their economic life.
Speaking during the disbursement, Hon Ossai said that the people of Ndokwa should expect more of such grants, and tasked beneficiaries to ensure proper usage of the money.
