Senator Ede Dafinone, Representing Delta Central in the National Assembly

ABUJA/Nigeria: The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Delta Central, across Nigeria and around the world on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Dafinone, in a goodwill message issued on Saturday, described Ramadan as a sacred period devoted to fasting, reflection, sacrifice and spiritual renewal, noting that its conclusion ushers in the blessed month of Shawwal. He emphasized that the significance of the season lies not only in celebration but in sustaining the values cultivated during the holy month.

The lawmaker highlighted patience, compassion, discipline and generosity as enduring virtues symbolised by Ramadan, urging adherents of the Islamic faith and Nigerians at large to continue to uphold these principles beyond the fasting period. He called for strengthened bonds among families, communities and across the nation, stressing the importance of reaching out to the less privileged in the spirit of love and service.

“Eid al-Fitr is a time for forgiveness, unity and gratitude. It should inspire in us a renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and collective responsibility in building a more just, inclusive and compassionate society,” he stated.

Dafinone further prayed for peace, joy, sound health and abundant blessings for Muslim faithful and their loved ones, expressing hope that the celebration would bring fulfillment and lasting happiness.

On behalf of his family and team, the senator wished Muslims a memorable Eid celebration, concluding with the traditional greeting, “Eid Mubarak.”
