KWALE/Nigeria: Executive officers have been elected to pilot the affairs of Etua Youth Movement (EYM) at Etua-Utagba-uno in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The election, which was conducted by the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ndokwa West Chapter, Comrade Inalu Moonshine at Eua-Utagba-uno Town Hall, saw the emergence of the following that would pilot the affairs of the union for the next three years.
Those elected were Comrade Prince Ugochukw Obi as Chairman; Clinton Uche Onyedi, Vice Chairman with Martins Obinna Chime as the Secretary.
Others were Emeke Omenogor, Treasurer; Ossai Marvis, Financial Secretary; Ojieh Harrison, Public Relations Officer (PRO); Ogoli Best, Auditor and Bar. Evans Ufeli as the Legal Adviser.
The elected officers were charged to imbibe sound moral virtues that could bring about accelerated development of the council area and the state in general.
Comrade Inalu implored the new executive members to imbibe the spirit of consultation, team work and dialogue, adding that they should see their victory at the election as a call for greater service.
The newly elected Chairman, Comrade Obi expressed appreciation to members for finding the new officers worthy to lead the body.
He commended members, especially those he referred to as foundation members, for their commitment, tenacity and sacrifice which he said made the occasion not only a success but possible.
He equally commended the electoral committee, headed by Comrade Inalu Moonshine for conducting what he termed the freest, transparent and the most generally acceptable election in recent times, even as he encouraged those who lost out to join hands with the winners to enthrone an organisation that would be the envy of all and sundry.
He assured that the new executive would not betray the confidence reposed on them, adding that they would liaise with relevant authorities to tackle challenges facing the community.
He appealed for cooperation of all with the new leaders by contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of the Etua Community.
