ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s remarkable development efforts, asserting that they have significantly facilitated his role as the government’s chief spokesperson.
Dr. Osuoza’s remarks came during a courtesy visit from the executive committee members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Delta State chapter, led by its chairman, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe.
Expressing gratitude to the institute for their instrumental role in conveying Governor Oborevwori’s policy initiatives under the MORE agenda, Dr. Osuoza urged the NIPR to persist in their collaboration with the state government. He emphasized the governor’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development of Delta State, ensuring that every region reaps the benefits of the MORE agenda.
Meanwhile, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe, Chairman of the Delta State chapter of NIPR, commended Dr. Osuoza’s exemplary communication skills, underscoring their importance in championing the developmental endeavors of the Oborevwori administration. He acknowledged the prevailing skepticism towards leaders in Nigeria but reaffirmed the institute’s dedication to bridging the trust gap through effective relationship management and compelling storytelling.
Highlighting an upcoming regulatory change, Mr. Osakwe announced that, effective March 31st, 2024, NIPR certification would be mandatory for all individuals practicing public relations nationwide. As a symbol of partnership, the institute presented Dr. Osuoza with a membership form, symbolizing their commitment to collaborative communication efforts in advancing Delta State’s progress.
