ASABA/Nigeria: Renowned Delta-born politician, Dr (Pharm.). Nelson Eseoghene Ejakpovi has said, former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori is a passionate, humane and pragmatic leader whose success in politics is traceable to his nature of inclusive politicking.
Dr. Ejakpovi gave the description in a birthday message he personally signed for Chief Ibori which was made available to newsmen at the weekend.
“At 61, almost every politician is celebrating you, our leader (Chief James Ibori) because of your belief in inclusive politics.
When you were the Governor of our dear state, you reached out to everybody; you ran an inclusive government, carrying everyone along which led to a robust government that brought about the empowerment of many persons and development of our state.
Today, as you celebrate your 61st birthday, we thank God for keeping you, making you strong and still contributing to the politics of our dear country, Nigeria.
Your passion for the welfare of others, your pragmatic approach to handling issues and your ideology of carrying everybody along as members of one political family has singled you out as a gift to Deltans, Nigeria and humanity.
May I use this medium to once again thank you for your compassion and prompt response shown to me, my wife, kids and my entire family in 2007 when I came close to death by bullets of assassins. May God bless you Sir.
It is on record that the Governor of our state today, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the three Senators representing our state at the National Assembly – Senators Ovie Omo-Agege, James Manager, Peter Nwaoboshi and several other political office holders were once members of your cabinet, the Delta State Executive Council.
ODIDIGBO-EIGBO, you deserve to be celebrated, and we give thanks to God for preserving you.
I, Dr. (Pharm.) Nelson Eseoghene Ejakpovi once again, on behalf of my family, my friends in and out of politics, congratulate you on your birthday, Your Excellency.
We pray that God will preserve you not only to continue to contribute to the development of our state and our nation but, to reap the fruits of your labour.”
