The Ambulance Donated to Central Hospital Kwale by DESOPADEC
The commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation in the Board of Delta state oil producing Areas Development commission (DESOPADEC) sir Kenny Okolugbo has donated items worth Billions of Naira to the Central Hospital Kwale, Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) and prospective beneficiaries of the fifty four (54) Tricycles, which according to him, were meant to be distributed freely to beneficiaries across the three, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani, Local Government Areas of Ndokwa Nation.
At the kwale government Central Hospital where the commissioner donated a brand new AMBULANCE, sir Okolugbo noted that Government is a continuous process as such, he made the donation in continuation from where his predecessor stopped, describing the hospital as the biggest within Ndokwa Nation, and explained that he was also propelled by his commitment to complimenting the state government’s efforts in boosting health care delivery in the state.
Sir Okolugbo commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for providing the possible atmosphere for the donation, and requested the management of the hospital and the entire residents of the area to ensure the safety and sustenance of the vehicle. While assuring the hospital management of his commitment to the actualization of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s “3 points Agenda” the DESOPADEC Commissioner also requested the residents of the area to always support the PDP administration at all levels, especially during the upcoming elections.
In his words of appreciation on behalf of the hospital staff and patents, the Zonal Medical Director of the Kwale Central Hospital, Dr. Ola Ododi thanked the DESOPADEC Commissioner and his team, pointing out that he had the mandate of the permanent secretary ministry of Health Dr. (Mrs.) Caroline Ajuya to receive the item and conveyed her deep appreciation. Dr. Odidi also remarked that the AMBULANCE would go a long way in boosting their service delivery at the hospital, especially in cases of emergency.
In other words, the zonal medical Director recalled that since 1954 when the hospital was established, no meaningful improvement had been recorded in terms of equipments, Renovation and power generation and pleaded with the government through the DESOPADEC to provide more for the hospital. At Kwale Police Station, where the fifty four Tricycles were commissioned, sir Okolugbo notated that the empowerment could not go round everybody at once, pointing out that the occasion was the third phase, and promised that more beneficiaries would be empowered in subsequent phases.
At the Lococoon Hotels he met with executives of NNU, and donated a brand new (18 seaters) Bus to Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU). Sir Okolugbo said that the bus donation was informed by his satisfaction with the present leadership of the Union. He therefore praised the leadership potentials of the Union’s National President, Pharmacist Paul Enebeli, whom, he described as the torch bearer of Ndokwa Nation. Sir Okolugbo urged the NNU president not to relent in keeping the tempo of the progress.
While receiving the keys and papers for the vehicle, the NNU president pharmacist Paul Enebeli stated that the present representation of Ndokwa Nation in the board of DESOPADEC was exceptional and lauded sir Okolugbo’s dogged and pragmatic service to Ndokwa nation and humanity at large. The NNU president thanked Governor Uduaghan for providing the enabling atmosphere and emphasized the need to increase the Ndokwa Allocation, considering the quantity of Oil and Gas contributed from Ndokwa land to National economy, and especially the health hazards of the Oil and Gas exploration on the Agricultural and Aquatic lives of the people. The various items donated were officially commissioned by the commissioner representing Urhobo Nation in the Board of DESOPADEC Rt. Hon, Chief Christopher Obiuwevbi Ominimini.
