Oborevwori Commends Steve Oru’s Public Service as Former Minister Turns 79

ASABA/Nigeria: Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Dr Stephen Orishe Oru, has been commended for his contributions to public service and institutional development as he marks his 79th birthday.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, conveyed the commendation in a birthday message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba.

The governor acknowledged Oru’s service in various public positions, including his tenure as Chairman of the National Board for Technical Education and Chairman of the Governing Council of Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara.

Oborevwori described the former minister as an accomplished leader and elder statesman whose contributions to Delta State and Nigeria remained noteworthy.

He said Oru’s birthday was an opportunity to recognise his years of service and celebrate with his family, political associates and well-wishers.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta, I heartily rejoice with a great leader and amiable elder statesman, Dr Stephen Orishe Oru, as he celebrates his 79th birth anniversary,” the governor said.

Oborevwori expressed gratitude to God for granting the celebrant the strength and wisdom to serve the people of Delta and Nigeria.

He prayed for Oru’s continued protection, good health and more years of fulfilment and service to God and humanity.
