Okowa Advocates Proper Policing as Key to Investors’ Confidence

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has said proper Policing of the country will boost the confidence of foreign investors to do business in Nigeria.
Speaking when the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 5, Mr Musa Daura paid him a courtesy visit in Asaba Thursday June11, 2015, Senator Okowa stated that a lot of foreign investors were interested in doing business in Nigeria, especially, Delta State following the successful elections held in the country, but, observed that they desire a conducive and peaceful environment.
“Today, because we all worked with each other in partnership, we have come out from the elections as a very peaceful nation, we must thank the Police for ensuring peace during the elections, the more peace we keep in our state, the more peace we see in our country the more investment we are going to see nationally and we will be able to provide employment for our teeming youths,” the Governor said.
He added, “we have a lot of investors willing to invest in Nigeria, especially, Delta State and they need a peaceful and encouraging environment, the Police has a great role to play in ensuring that law and order is maintained.”
