ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has congratulated the senatorial candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who emerged victorious in the party’s recently concluded senatorial primaries across the three districts of the state, describing their victories as a reflection of the confidence reposed in their leadership and political experience.
In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, Osuoza commended former Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who emerged as the APC candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Ede Dafinone, candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, and Distinguished Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, candidate for Delta South Senatorial District.
The commissioner said the successful emergence of the three candidates after what he described as keenly contested and hard-fought primaries demonstrated their widespread acceptability among party faithful and critical stakeholders across the state.
According to him, the outcome of the primaries was a clear testament to the candidates’ leadership qualities, political sagacity, experience and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Delta State and Nigeria.
Osuoza noted that the APC primaries provided a democratic platform for healthy competition, adding that the victories recorded by the party’s candidates have further strengthened confidence in the party’s readiness for the 2027 general elections.
“As we look ahead to the 2027 General Elections, we are encouraged by the quality of leadership and representation that each of you embodies. Your collective experience, proven track records and dedication to public service inspire confidence that our party is well-positioned for victory and effective representation of the interests of our people,” he stated.
The commissioner expressed optimism that the APC would enter the next electoral cycle united and focused, stressing that the successful completion of the primaries marked an important milestone in the party’s preparations for the polls.
“Indeed, it is settled to the glory of God. Having successfully crossed this important milestone, we now move forward in unity, solidarity and determination towards the general elections,” Osuoza said.
He prayed for divine wisdom, strength, good health and guidance for the candidates as they prepare for the campaigns ahead, noting that they carry the hopes and aspirations of millions of Deltans.
Osuoza further wished the APC senatorial flag bearers success in their electoral campaigns and expressed confidence that they would secure victory at the 2027 polls.
He also congratulated members of the APC family across Delta State for the peaceful conduct of the primaries, expressing hope that the party would remain united and committed to achieving greater political success in the state.
“May your victories at the primaries mark the beginning of an even greater victory for our party and our people in 2027,” he added.
