ASABA/Nigeria: John Ikechukwu Ozegbe, a frontline aspirant for the Ndokwa West Constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, on his birthday anniversary, describing him as a model of leadership and a source of inspiration to Deltans.
Ozegbe, who personally signed the congratulatory message, commended the Speaker for what he described as his maturity, dynamism and legislative dexterity in steering the affairs of the House, noting that Guwor has demonstrated uncommon capacity in fostering unity among lawmakers while strengthening legislative governance in the state.
In the message marking the Speaker’s birthday on April 1, 2026, Ozegbe expressed profound joy and appreciation, stating that Guwor’s tenure has been “nothing short of phenomenal,” particularly in advancing a harmonious working relationship between the legislative arm and other tiers of government in delivering the MORE Agenda.
“Your tenure as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly has been underscored by astute legislative acumen, which has not only enhanced collaboration between arms of government but also attracted national recognition, culminating in your emergence as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria,” Ozegbe stated.

Reflecting on their past working relationship, Ozegbe recalled Guwor’s tenure as Chairman of the House Committee on DESOPADEC between 2019 and 2023, during which he (Ozegbe) served as Clerk of the Committee, describing the experience as both impactful and instructive.
He noted that Guwor’s administrative competence, passion for the development of oil-producing communities and commitment to the overall growth of Delta State left an indelible mark on his career and provided him with valuable legislative insight.
“I remain eternally grateful for the opportunity to work closely with an exceptionally creative, insightful and visionary, yet humble leader like you,” he added, praying for continued wisdom, sound health and divine guidance for the Speaker.
Ozegbe further wished the Speaker many more years of impactful leadership, expressing hope that his tenure would continue to be defined by unity, prosperity and outstanding service to the people of Delta State and humanity at large.
