
ASABA/Nigeria: Christian ministers under the Urhobo Christian Ministers Association International on Wednesday offered prayers for Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, expressing gratitude to God for his peaceful and inclusive leadership of the state.
During a prayer visit to Government House, Asaba, the association’s President and General Overseer of God’s Will Mission Inc., Archbishop Solomon Gbakara, said the ministers were proud of the governor’s style of governance, which he described as God-fearing, people-oriented and development-driven.
He noted that since Governor Oborevwori assumed office, Delta State has enjoyed political stability, peaceful coexistence and steady development across its ethnic and geographical divides.
Archbishop Gbakara said the absence of conflicts among arms of government was a testament to the governor’s wisdom and humility in leadership, adding that the widespread infrastructure projects across the state reflected a commitment to fairness and equity.
He further praised the governor’s working relationship with the Federal Government, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that unity between the state and the centre had translated into peace and progress for Deltans.
The ministers assured the governor of continued prayers and spiritual support, urging him to remain steadfast and responsive to the needs of the people.
In his response, Governor Oborevwori thanked the clerics for their prayers and encouragement, reaffirming his commitment to serving Delta State with humility, unity and dedication.
