Urhobo Youth Demands Justice and Unity Amidst Tragic Killing of Soldiers
UGHELLI/Nigeria: In response to reported communal crises and the tragic killing of Nigerian soldiers in Okuama community, Ughelli South Local Government Area, the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Youth Wing has issued a resolute statement condemning the acts and demanding justice.
Signed by Activist Ughere Blessed, President of UPU Youth Wing Worldwide, and Comr. Aboyi Lawson, Publicity Secretary, the statement reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to unity, peace, and progress within the Urhobo community and beyond.
Expressing sadness, the UPU Youth Wing extended condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and affirmed solidarity with the armed forces and all well-meaning Nigerians. They acknowledged and honored sacrifices made by the soldiers for the security and stability of the nation.
The UPU Youth Wing called on the Nigerian military to conduct a thorough and professional investigation into the incident, urging swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice in accordance with the laws of the nation.
