Senator Nwoko Mourns Dunkwu, Hails Late Reps Speaker’s Aide as Dedicated Patriot

ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu, the Deputy Chief of Staff (Legislative) in the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

In a condolence message, Senator Nwoko said he received the news of the passing of Dr. Dunkwu, aged 54, in Abuja with profound shock and grief, describing his death as a painful loss to the nation.

The senator paid glowing tribute to the late Dunkwu, describing him as a steadfast, courageous and resourceful professional who remained unwavering in his commitment to noble causes throughout his lifetime.

According to him, the late Dunkwu demonstrated remarkable patriotism and integrity in public administration, making immense contributions to the National Assembly and national development during nearly a decade of distinguished service.

Nwoko also noted that the deceased brought the same passion and dedication to his recent national assignment as President of the Nigerian Aquatics Federation, where he worked tirelessly to reposition the organisation and strengthen its role in the development of sports in the country.

The lawmaker further described Dunkwu as a compassionate patriot whose selfless generosity and philanthropic gestures touched many lives, noting that he consistently responded to the needs and aspirations of people around him.

“My heartfelt condolences go to the immediate family, the people of his Ute-Okpu community, and the numerous beneficiaries of his exemplary kindness. May his soul rest in perfect peace as he returns to his Maker,” Senator Nwoko said.
