AGBOR/Nigeria: As Christians across the world prepare for the Easter celebrations in the first weekend of April 2026, the Old Boys Association of St. Columba’s/Gbenoba Grammar School is set to host its Annual Convention in Agbor, Delta State.
In a press release jointly signed by the National President, Barrister S. O. A. Gbenoba, and the National Public Relations Officer, Mr. Iwemdi Nwaham, the two-day event is scheduled to hold on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Activities will commence on Friday with the traditional Bonfire Night, a longstanding reunion tradition that brings together alumni from across the globe. The evening, which begins at 7 p.m., will feature social interactions around a bonfire, with roast meat, fish and yams served to participants spanning graduating sets from 1969 to 2025. The convivial gathering will also include a variety of refreshments, reinforcing the spirit of camaraderie among members.
The convention proper will take place on Saturday, April 4, with this year’s edition designated as an elective convention. A major highlight of the event will be the election of new national executives who will steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.
The association noted that the annual convention remains a vital platform for strengthening bonds among old students, reviewing its activities, and charting a forward-looking agenda for the development of the alma mater and its members.
