The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei accompanied by other members of the House and a large entourage recently stormed Jesse in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State on a condolence visit to Hon. John Obukohwo Nani a member of the House representing Ethiope West Local Government Area over the death of his mother Madam Victoria Nani Chokor who passed on peacefully at the age of 85years on January 27, 2014 at 5am prompt in Boboroku Jesse.
In his condolence message at the country home of Chief Hon. John Nani in Jesse town, Hon. Victor Ochei wrote “your demise remains a painful exit, but we are consoled that you lived a life worthy of emulation, we prayed Almighty God to give you place in his bossom”.
The lawmaker appealed to Hon. Nani to put his hope on God who alone gives and take, stressing that he should be consoled with the fact that the death of the mother will only bring more blessings to him rather than any form of pains and regret.
He reminded Hon. Nani that he too lost his own mother in the month of January 2004 when he was voted during the first tenure to represent his people but now, the prayer of his mother before her death has catapulted him into his third term and as the leader of the house.
Hon. Ochei promised the Jesse born lawmaker that they will be with him during the period of the burial ceremony of which comes up on Thursday March 13, 2014 Service of Songs, Friday March 14, 2014 Burial Ceremony and Sunday March 16, 2014 for Thanksgiving Service at Boboruku – Jesse.

We thank God for the privilege granted you to have mothered Hon. Nani whose political activities continued to impart on his generation positively. Rest in peace.
Another early caller at Chief Nani’s house in Jesse Mr. Onoriode Tatsemi a principal information officer with the Delta State Ministry of Information who is an indigene of Jesse Kingdom wrote “Mama, the news of your demise came to me as a rude shock, one would have expected that you continue to enjoy the fruit of your womb and continue to nurture the younger ones.
