Nigerian Atomic Energy Commission
An advocacy group, the Ndokwa Arise Initiatives for Change, (NAIC), that preaches good governance for the Ndokwa ethnic nationality in Delta state has written the Nigerian Atomic Energy Commission, (NAEC) to obtain the financial and general report on the 2014 graduate training programme allocated to Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal Constituency, in the 2014 federal budget.
The letter titled, “Request for the Financial Report and a General Report on the 2014 Graduate Training Programme Allocated to Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency”, written on June 25, 2015 and signed by Mr Victor Chukwuemeke on behalf of the group, stated that their attention had being drawn to the graduate training programme which was stated in 2014 Zonal Intervention Project.
The letter, which was also copied to the National Budget office, Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), the Inspector General of Police, stated that the project which was in the 2014 appropriation bill, attracted the sum of N50,000,000.00, and the programme was “handled by the commission and the said programme has attracted the attention of the constituents”. The letter stated.
The NAIC, is therefore in its letter, asking for the full detail of the amount released, to whom the money was released to, the full list of the participants, and the general detail of the programme.
It can be recalled that this issue was first exclusively reported by Ndokwa Reporters Newspaper, and the member representing the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Hon Ossai Nicolas Ossai was quoted to have said that some fifteen Ndokwa graduates from the Ndokwa LGA, of Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East and Ukwuani were part of the programme which was held for two weeks in Abuja.
