APC Chieftain Eze Hails Fubara at 51, Praises Resolve to Protect Rivers’ Public Resources

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara

PORT HARCOURT/Nigeria: A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has joined the people of Rivers State to give thanks to God as Governor Siminialayi Fubara marks his 51st birthday.

In a statement made available to the media, Eze said the milestone called for gratitude to God for preserving the life of the governor, whom he described as steadfast in his resolve to protect the state’s treasury and uphold public accountability. He noted that Fubara’s leadership, in his view, reflects a commitment to ensuring that public resources are managed in the collective interest of Rivers people.

Eze acknowledged that Governor Fubara has faced intense legal and political pressures which, he said, would ordinarily distract many leaders from governance. Despite these challenges, he said the governor has remained focused on his responsibilities and the social contract between his administration and the people of the state.

According to him, the administration’s multi-sectoral strides across Rivers State, achieved amid headwinds, underscore the character of a leader forged by adversity. He added that the governor’s performance suggests even greater potential if not for the constraints imposed by ongoing political battles, urging him to draw strength from the belief that difficult times often shape resilient leadership.

Congratulating Governor Fubara on the milestone, Eze encouraged him to remain courageous and steadfast in standing with the people who entrusted him with the mandate to govern. He also prayed for renewed strength and wisdom for the governor to continue leading Rivers State toward greater stability and development.
