ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has expressed deep condolences to the family of the late Peter Nwaoboshi, describing his passing as a profound loss to Delta State and Anioma land.
In a condolence message issued in Abuja, Nwoko said the late Nwaoboshi would be fondly remembered for his notable contributions to the political development of Delta State and Anioma, tracing his influence to the 1990s when he emerged as a key player in the state’s evolving political landscape.
He described Nwaoboshi, who served as Senator for Delta North from 2015 to 2023, as a long-standing political figure, a consummate party administrator and a dedicated community leader whose impact spanned decades of public service.
“It is with a profound sense of loss and grief that I received the sad news of the passing of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi,” Nwoko stated, noting that the former lawmaker contributed immensely to the social and political evolution of Delta State, Delta North and Nigeria at large.
According to him, Nwaoboshi’s public service record—having held strategic positions including party chairman, civil commissioner and senator—reflected a life devoted to governance, leadership and the advancement of his people.
“On behalf of myself, my family and political associates, I extend my deep commiseration to the Nwaoboshi family at this difficult moment of the loss of their patriarch,” Nwoko added.
He prayed that the Almighty would grant the family, as well as the people of Oshimili, Anioma and Delta State, the fortitude to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.
