WARRI/Nigeria: Leading aspirant for the Warri Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Sheriff Mulade, PhD, has called on party faithful, supporters and residents of Warri Federal Constituency to remain hopeful, united and committed to the collective aspiration of building a better future ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mulade, who is a renowned peace advocate, environmental rights activist, development strategist and grassroots mobiliser, made the call while addressing growing political engagements ahead of the elections, assuring supporters that the NDC remains committed to offering purposeful and people-centred leadership capable of transforming the constituency.
The frontline aspirant said the increasing support and acceptance being enjoyed by the NDC across Delta State, particularly within Warri Federal Constituency, was a clear indication that the people were yearning for a new political direction anchored on inclusiveness, development and responsive governance.
According to him, the journey towards the 2027 elections goes beyond political ambitions, stressing that it is fundamentally about restoring confidence in governance and strengthening peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities that make up the Warri Federal Constituency.
He noted that unity among the constituent ethnic groups remains critical to sustainable development and political stability in the area, adding that his aspiration is driven by the desire to promote harmony and ensure that every segment of the constituency enjoys equitable development.
Mulade further stated that the NDC has the capacity to redefine politics in Nigeria, especially within Warri Federal Constituency, through the implementation of people-oriented policies aimed at addressing socio-economic challenges confronting the people.
He explained that the party’s development blueprint would focus on creating business opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship and attracting investments capable of stimulating local economic growth.
The peace advocate also highlighted agriculture and fisheries as critical sectors that would receive priority attention under his representation, noting that the establishment of agricultural and fishery industries would create employment opportunities for the teeming youth population in the constituency.
According to him, empowering youths through productive ventures and skills-driven initiatives remains one of the most effective ways of tackling unemployment, poverty and social unrest.
Mulade therefore urged party members and supporters to remain steadfast and continue mobilising at the grassroots, expressing confidence that the NDC would emerge as a strong political force capable of delivering meaningful representation and development to the people of Warri Federal Constituency in 2027.
