Residents of Oghardhe community in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State were at the weekend thrown into panic following the rumoured outbreak of Ebola virus.
It was rumoured that an Ebola virus patient was admitted in a private hospital in the area.
Reports said the doctor of the hospital, while attending to some patients, said he noiced symptoms that were similar to that of Ebola virus in a patient, who he said came from Lagos State.
He added that the doctor was scared and alerted the Ministry of Health officials in Asaba, who responded immediately.
Dr. Ofili, who is the state epidemiologist, said that the news of the suspected Ebola Virus in Oghara, is untrue. He said nobody has tested positive to the EVD.
