PPL Donates Materials, Cash to Orphanages in Ndokwa

The Managements of the Marginal Field operator in Umutu, Ukwuani LGA, Delta State, Platform Petroleum Limited and its Joint Venture, New Cross Ventures Limited has donated items worth millions of Naira to the inmates of GBI Orphanage, Adonishaka, in Ebedei Ukwuani LGA and Ndokwa Foundation Orphanage Home, Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta State.Exif_JPEG_420Children of GBI Performing during the Visit

During the presentation of the items, the Base Manager of PPL, Mr Austine Abaneme recalled the life of the abandoned and orphans is never an easy one, and for organs like the orphanages to take these children off the streets and give them all the necessary attention is something that needed commendation by the society.Exif_JPEG_420

Dwelling on the title of the children’s presentation at GBI orphanage Adonishaka, which was “Father, Mother”, Mr Abaneme said the life of a child is “not complete without the efforts of the two parents, but since they were abandoned, the homes and the society should always provide that enabling “father and mother” relationship”, which the company PPL, as part of her Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is noted for.Exif_JPEG_420

Speaking further, he called on the operators of the homes to ensure that the basic needs of life of food and clothing’s is always provided for the children.

At the Ndokwa Foundation Orphanage Home, the founder, Mrs Grace Achi thanked the company and prayed that the efforts of the company to see to the needs of the orphans will not be in vain. Exif_JPEG_420

Items donated to both homes were rice, groundnut oil, detergents, soaps, cartons of biscuits and other items, including cheque donations.
At the end of the visit, group photograph was taken by the inmates of the homes and Staff of the Joint Venture Companies.

The visit was made by the Base Manager, Mr Austine Abaneme, Manager CA/HSE, Mr Godwin Alumona, and other members of the Joint Venture Operators
