DIDA Agency, DTSG partners Chinese Textile and Shoes Company

ASABA/Nigeria: The Chairman, Delta State Investments Development Agency (DIDA), and Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Investment matters, Mr. Paul Nmah has commended Governor Okowa’s recent Legacy in the  manufacturing sectors stated that the Governor has earned global recognition.

Mr Nmah dislosed this at Delta State Textile and Shoe Company,  Issele-Uku, Aniocha North LGA of  Delta State, during an inspection and tour of the centre with team of Shaoxing County Xubo Textile Company LTD, World Class Chinese Textile and Shoe Manufacturing Company based in China.

DIDA Boss  said that this is an efforts to boost investments drive in Delta State  as the management led by him and his DG, Chief Lucky Oghene-Omoru visited the  textile and Shoe factory in Issele-uku which has been idle for very long time, with his investments initiative went into discussions and negotiations with Supply Chain Intelligence of the Chinese firm which has yieded positive economic results capable of changing the narratives of the State’s Comparative cost Advantage in the Manufacturing and Investments Development sectors.

In his words: “Shaoxing County Xubo Textile Co., Ltd,  a world class Chinese textile and shoe manufacturing Company based in China has  partner with Delta State Government to put the Billion Naira investments into full production. The textile company when in full maximum production will create thousands of employment opportunities for our young people. It will also provide training to the Youths and increase State IGR”.

“The Partnership initiative is for Shaoxing County Xubo Textile to commence operations by the end of February 2020, expand the factory relocate equipment from China and commence full production of various manufacturing of fabrics and shoes.  Also to set up a training factory to provide training and certification for Deltans in textile equipment,  engineering, textile chemicals, analysis and training”.

DIDA Boss also stated that the knowledge his Agency, Delta state investments Development Agency gained recently in south Africa  from a Workshop conducted by  African investment Development Bank funding forum will be an added Advantage to the future State Investments exploits while Commending the Director-general of the Agency, Chief Luck Oghene-Omoru, an investments experts and other DIDA officials and Staff on their exploits and Support towards sustainable Investments Development.

The Leadership of the Chinese Firm in an interview with our reporter Commended Delta Government on  their Investments development efforts and  Industrial Revolution quest by partnering with them  towards the promotion of exports drive in Textile and Shoes Manufacturing, others and pledges to invest and do  more business with Delta State.

No doubt, they were   very exited after the tour of the moribund Delta Textile and Shoes Company, the Chinese Firm said that  the group is were eager  to commit funding toward rehabilitation of the former equipment and importing more morden manufacturing equipment to promote expansion processes and  commence manufacturing using the facility.

In another development, the CEO of Xubo Textile and Shoe Company further noted that they have extensively conducted market research in Nigeria and discovered hudge market potential in textile industries and manufacturing in Nigeria, precisely Delta State Investments potential, that  their intention is to use the manufacturing centre in Issele-Uku as an export facility to service their existing off-takers in Europe and other African countries.

Mr Nmah told our reporter  that all the State Government investments efforts is to transform the  State into investments heaven and to make sure that every formerly existed Companies in the State is put to use, adding that abandoned facilities in Delta State such as Songai Amukpe, the AT&P facility in Sapele,  the glass comp.
