UGHELLI/Nigeria: The President and General Overseer of Paradise Of Life Ministry in Ughelli, Revd (Dr) Thomas Akatika, has advised Nigerians to embrace love for one another for peace and sustainable development in the country.
Revd Akatika gave the charge during the 26th year anniversary of the church, while speaking on the topic, “Walking In Love,” drawn from Ephesians 5:1-2, at the church headquarters in Ughelli.
Revd Akatika said that the killings, confusion and many controversies in the country could be traced to lack of love for one another, noting that when love failed, things were bound to work against the development of humanity.
He said that the country was so much in a bad strait that every Nigerian thought of his ethnic nationality, instead of the much needed national unity, stressing that one thing that could stem tribal sentiments in the country was the love for one another.
Revd Akatika said that love should be the driving force behind everything we do as exemplified by God who gave His son for us to be saved from sin and destruction, adding that anything we do without love would amount to failure.
The man of God told members of the church to show unconditional love for one another and their neighbours, just as he condemned corruption, killings, kidnapping, raping and other evils that pervaded the country in recent times and attributed all to lack of love for one another, saying that where love existed, peace, progress and development would abound.
He noted that it was hypocritical to claim to love God when “you have hatred towards your fellow human beings” and appealed to Nigerians to pray for the restoration of love both in the church and the country at large.
