Okowa at 66: Osuoza Celebrates Former Delta Governor, Hails His Visionary Leadership

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi M. Osuoza, has joined a growing list of prominent voices in celebrating the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, as he marked his 66th birthday on Monday, July 8, 2025.

In a heartfelt congratulatory message personally signed and made available to the media, Dr. Osuoza described Senator Okowa as “a visionary leader whose indelible legacy and astute political acumen continue to resonate across the state and beyond.”

“Your Excellency, as you mark your 66th birthday anniversary, I, on behalf of my family, wish you a happy, glorious and memorable celebration,” Osuoza wrote. “Your visionary leadership, defined by your astute political and administrative acumen, not only continues to resonate loudly but remains impactful and pragmatic in shaping Delta State’s progress.”

Dr. Osuoza praised Okowa’s years of selfless service to Delta State, noting that his strategic leadership style, inclusive governance, and deep understanding of political dynamics contributed significantly to peace and stability in the state.

“You are indeed an extraordinary leader, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to once again celebrate you on your special day,” he said. “We wish you God’s divine guidance, protection, blessings, and many more years of impactful leadership.”

The commissioner concluded the message with a fond birthday salute to the former governor, referring to him by his widely known traditional title: “Happy Birthday, Ekwueme!”

Senator Okowa served as Governor of Delta State from 2015 to 2023, during which he implemented key reforms across health, education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment sectors. His influence remains strong within the state’s political and developmental landscape.
