AWKA/Nigeria: The Soludo-Ibezim Campaign Organisation (SICO) has reaffirmed its commitment to an issue-based campaign focused on development and governance, as the Nov. 8 Anambra governorship election approaches.
In a statement issued in Awka on Friday, the Director-General of SICO, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, expressed confidence in the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, describing their joint ticket as the popular and consensus choice of the people.
“We will not be distracted. Our focus remains firmly on Anambra’s future and the real issues that matter to the people,” Chukwulobelu said. “We are committed to showcasing governance milestones, policy achievements, and a long-term vision for sustainable development in Anambra.”
Highlighting key accomplishments of the administration in the past three years, he pointed to strides in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic reforms, all achieved without external borrowing.
According to him, the Soludo administration has worked hard to build credibility and will continue to engage the electorate based on results already delivered and future plans.
“We do not take the people’s support for granted. We are working hard to earn every vote based upon the value we have created and will continue to create for the people,” he stated.
Prof. Chukwulobelu further noted that Anambra’s progress demands quality leadership. “Anambra is far too sophisticated to be governed by the semi-literate or people of easy virtues. Anambra cannot afford to go backwards,” he added.
