ABUJA/Nigeria: The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), is set to deliver the keynote address at a one-day workshop for legal practitioners and air travel passengers scheduled for March 12.
The workshop, themed “Passengers’ Rights Under the Law: Ethical Obligations and Strategic Compliance,” is being organised by the Juweirat Law Resource Centre in collaboration with Synergy Attorneys.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday, the workshop coordinator, Mrs. Emmanuella Obi of Synergy Attorneys, said the event is designed to provide critical legal updates and relevant information to air travellers.
She disclosed that Mr. Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), is also expected to participate as a speaker.
Obi explained that the initiative aims to enhance consumer awareness and address misconceptions that discourage members of the public from patronising air transportation due to inadequate knowledge of their rights.
She noted that the hybrid workshop will target stakeholders across sectors that rely on air travel and will be hosted by Mr. Abiodun Awonikoko (SAN), Principal Partner at Synergy Attorneys.
Also expected to speak at the event is Toyin Bashorun (SAN), Principal Partner at Churchfield Solicitors.
Obi urged interested participants to register via info@synergyattornies.com
