AWKA/Nigeria: Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has called on Nigerians to embrace the values of love, sacrifice and tolerance as essential pillars for unity and peaceful co-existence, as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

Dr. Soludo, who is also the Founder of the Healthy Living Initiative, made the call in a goodwill message issued on Thursday in Awka, congratulating Muslim faithful in Anambra State and across the country on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

She noted that Eid-el-Fitr is not merely a period of celebration but a profound reminder of the enduring virtues that sustain harmony in society.

“Eid-el-Fitr reminds us that love, sacrifice and tolerance remain the greatest foundation of harmony and mutual co-existence,” she said.

The governor’s wife stressed the need for individuals to reflect these values in their daily lives, urging Muslims to extend kindness, compassion and goodwill to others, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

“As you celebrate, let love lead, let kindness and oneness define your actions. Let someone around you smile because of you,” she added.

Dr. Soludo further called for sustained unity and mutual understanding among residents of Anambra State and Nigerians at large, noting that collective commitment to these ideals would foster a more peaceful and inclusive society.

She wished the Muslim Ummah a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, encouraging them to carry forward the lessons of Ramadan in their everyday interactions.
