The 8th National Assembly was on Tuesday inaugurated at the National Assembly complex where the leadership of both Houses was elected.

Senator Bukola Saraki emerged as the Senate President and electively deputised by Senator Ike Ekweremadu while Hon. Dogara emerged as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

It was gathered from Ndokwa Reporters correspondence Abuja that the member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency at the 8th Assembly Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai played a key role

towards the emergence of the leadership of the Lower Chambers of the National Assembly and this singular action remain an advantage to him to function more effectively.

In an inaugural reception held in honour of Hon. Ossai, it was gathered that several stakeholders across borders of Ndokwa nation registered their presence as guest.
Hon. Ossai Ossai who was ushered into the reception ground with cheers from guest and fans promised not to disappoint the good people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani but promised to put them first.

He equally assured the delivery of dividends of democracy by ensuring that the three local government areas which falls under his Federal Constituency benefit from his Legislative representation.
“I have come to represent Ndokwa and not myself, most importantly, in giving our people job, not only giving our people employment but also making sure that our roads are built, making sure we promote Ndokwa Neku Union as a strong organisation”
In his appreciation message, Hon. Ossai commended the efforts of the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his immense contribution in electing the leadership of the 8th Assembly and pledged his maximum support for his success in office.
In an interview section with some of the participants of the programme, Hon. Ossai was said to have done well in the 7th Assembly as he called the attention of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) vide a motion to the heavy thunderstorm that destroyed properties and render so many of his constituents homeless. Some accounted him as active for sponsoring series of bills and for raising motions that brought changes to his constituency.
They equally encouraged him to look into the inward and key challenges facing his constituency like the issue of stepping down the Okpai Gas Plant in Ndokwa, equipping the hospitals, empowering the youths and creating more jobs.
Amongst the dignitaries present are Chief Okenmor Tilije, Mr. Monday Ossai, Ukwuani Local Government Chairman, Barr. Ndudi Osakunih, her Ndokwa East counterpart, Hon. Nkechi Chukwura, Mrs. Bibiana Michael-Shonibare of West Cost Economic Summit 2015, Prince Azuka Ogbuka, Chief Osasa to be mentioned but a few.
