KOKORI/Nigeria: Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has expressed strong confidence in the electoral prospects of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, predicting a resounding victory for both leaders in the 2027 general elections.

Oghenesivbe made the assertion on Friday on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Chairman and Executive Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 6, Kokori, in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to him, the prevailing political atmosphere in Nigeria, particularly in Delta State, indicates that President Tinubu remains a dominant force in national politics and well positioned to secure another mandate.

“The political atmosphere clearly shows that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no visible contender capable of matching his popularity and track record in governance. This positions him strongly to secure victory not only in Delta State but across the country,” Oghenesivbe said.

He urged the newly inaugurated Ward Chairman, Pastor Sunday Agbogun, to lead with integrity, vision and a commitment to strengthening unity among party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members.

Oghenesivbe noted that the party in Ward 6 Kokori must continue to build on its growing strength by fostering peace, cohesion and collective commitment as preparations intensify for future elections.

“Ward 6 APC is on a path to excellence. The leadership must foster peace, cohesion and collective commitment as the party prepares to decisively defeat opposition parties in the forthcoming elections,” he added.

The Bureau Chief also commended the achievements of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a policy framework already yielding measurable economic progress and positioning Nigeria for greater prosperity.

Speaking on developments in Delta State, Oghenesivbe praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as visionary leadership and expansive infrastructure development across the state.

He noted that the governor’s administration has significantly improved economic opportunities and the overall wellbeing of citizens in less than three years in office.

Oghenesivbe expressed optimism that Governor Oborevwori would record a sweeping victory across Delta State’s 25 local government areas in the 2027 elections.

He attributed his confidence to the widespread infrastructure and socio-economic development projects ongoing across the state’s three senatorial districts, as well as the state government’s decision to allocate ₦7 billion to each local government area in the 2026 budget to support road construction, education and healthcare development, separate from federal allocations.

The Bureau Chief also commended the Chairman of the APC in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Midwest Iboyitete, for what he described as pragmatic leadership that has strengthened the party’s structure in the area.

“Under the leadership of Chief Iboyitete, the APC in Ethiope East has become stronger, more united and more organised,” he said, applauding the timely inauguration of ward executives across the local government area.

He further appreciated leaders and members of APC Ward 6 Kokori for their resilience, unity and dedication to strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

Oghenesivbe also singled out Chief James Omeru for commendation over what he described as impactful empowerment initiatives targeted at youths and women in the community.

According to him, Omeru has distributed over ₦50 million to support youth and women within the last three weeks, describing the gesture as a major contribution to community development and party cohesion.

He also acknowledged the contributions of other party leaders, including Chief (Barr.) G. S. Avwunudiogba, Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, Chief Faith Majemite, Chief Sunday Omovie and Chief Sunday Umunade, describing them as pillars of strength whose collective efforts continue to reinforce unity and stability within the APC in Ward 6 and beyond.
