The apex Urhobo Youth Body Worldwide, The Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Youth Wing has congratulated the President elect Gen. Muhammad Buhari (rtd) over his outstanding victory in the just concluded elections. In a press statement signed by the spokesman of the body, Com. Marcus Ovovwero Ekure he described the election as the freest, fairest and most credible election that Nigeria has ever had. Expressing confidence in Gen. Buhari’s capacity to deliver on his manifesto, he described the president-elect as an exemplary leader with exceptional qualities, impeccable pedigree and antecedence. Meanwhile he commended the show of sportsmanship displayed by the incumbent president, His Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan saying that it takes only a selfless and visionary leader to concede defeat especially in Africa. He however recommended that Jonathan Goodluck be considered for a Nobel Laureate award and a lifetime ambassador of the United Nations and African Union so as to rank among the likes of Nelson Mandela of South Africa
