EFFURUN/Nigeria: The Chairman of Ward 2 in Uwvie Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Dafe Desmond Esiekpe, alongside members of the ward executive, has paid a thank-you visit to Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Community Development, Dr. Patrick Ighomrore, in appreciation of his support and leadership during the recent ward congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during the visit, Esiekpe said the delegation considered it necessary to formally express their gratitude to Dr. Ighomrore for his encouragement and contributions toward the unity and progress of the party in the ward. He noted that the peaceful and successful conduct of the congress was made possible through the guidance of party leaders and stakeholders who ensured that the process was transparent and inclusive.
The ward chairman stated that members of the ward executive and party faithful in Ward 2 remain appreciative of the role played by the governor’s aide, adding that the visit also provided an opportunity to reaffirm their collective commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
Esiekpe assured that the ward leadership would continue to work closely with party stakeholders to sustain unity among members while mobilising support for the programmes and policies of the APC-led government at both the state and federal levels.
Responding, Dr. Patrick Ighomrore commended the ward chairman and his executive for the visit and their dedication to the growth and stability of the party in Uwvie Local Government Area. He urged them to continue promoting unity among party members and to remain committed to advancing the ideals of the APC within the community.
At the end of the visit, it was unanimously agreed that all members of the party in Ward 2 should work collectively for the re-election of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure the successful completion of the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda at both the state and national levels.
