This was disclosed in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, as the police boss began the tour with a visit to the Asaba Area Command.

During the visit, CP Adesola was received by the Area Commander, Asaba, ACP Alex Udeze, and held meetings with senior officers, Divisional Police Officers and personnel under the command, where he charged them to remain professional, disciplined and proactive in the discharge of their duties.

He stressed the importance of intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights and effective service delivery, noting that these were critical to improving public confidence and achieving sustainable security in the state.

The Commissioner also held interactive sessions with key stakeholders within the Asaba jurisdiction, including traditional rulers, community leaders, youth representatives, transport unions and members of the business community, and called for sustained collaboration in addressing security challenges in the metropolis.

As part of the tour, the police boss paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Asagba of Asaba, where he was received by His Royal Majesty, Obi (Prof) Epiphany Chibuogu Azinge, SAN, OON, and members of the traditional council.

CP Adesola commended the traditional institution for its consistent support to the police and assured that the command would continue to partner with community leaders to promote peace, safety and public confidence across the state.

The familiarisation tour, according to the police, will continue across other Area Commands in Delta State as part of a broader strategy to assess operational needs, boost morale among officers and reinforce community-oriented policing.
