
ASABA/Nigeria: Political activities intensified across Delta North Senatorial District as large crowds turned out in Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili South, Aniocha North and Ika North East Local Government Areas in support of the re-election bid of Senator Ned Nwoko ahead of the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.
The rallies, which attracted party leaders, community stakeholders, youths, women groups and grassroots supporters, were widely seen as a strong demonstration of confidence in the senator’s leadership and representation at the National Assembly.
In Emu Ebendo, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, supporters gathered in large numbers during the consultation meeting, openly endorsing Senator Nwoko for another term in the Senate.
Stakeholders from across the Ndokwa nation described the gathering as evidence of the growing popularity and acceptance of the senator within the district.
Speaking during the consultations, the Director General of the campaign, Hon. Samuel Kerry, said the impressive turnout recorded across the various local government areas reflected increasing public trust in Senator Nwoko’s legislative performance and engagement with constituents.
According to him, the consultations were designed to strengthen political unity within Delta North while consolidating grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kerry noted that Senator Nwoko’s representation had continued to resonate with the people due to what he described as the senator’s commitment to the interests and development of the district.
At Ashaka in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, stakeholders unanimously declared support for the senator’s re-election, commending him for what they termed visible and impactful representation at the National Assembly.
Community leaders, party executives, women groups and youths praised Senator Nwoko for maintaining strong ties with constituents and consistently drawing national attention to issues affecting Delta North.
Similar endorsements were recorded in Oshimili South, Aniocha North and Ika North East local government areas, where supporters described the senator as accessible, responsive and committed to the progress of the district.
Several speakers at the rallies stressed the need for continuity in leadership, arguing that sustained representation would help consolidate ongoing development efforts and strengthen the political influence of Delta North at the national level.
Youth and women representatives also pledged continued support for Senator Nwoko, assuring that they would mobilise voters across communities ahead of the elections.
The rallies featured chants of solidarity, coordinated endorsements and repeated declarations of support for the senator’s return to the Senate in 2027.
Political observers say the scale of mobilisation witnessed across the five local government areas further highlights Senator Nwoko’s growing political strength and influence within Delta North Senatorial District as preparations intensify ahead of the APC primaries.
