Police Begin Screening of 50,000 Constable Applicants in Delta March 9

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening for shortlisted applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026, and run until Friday, April 18, 2026.

The announcement was made in a statement issued in Asaba by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Bright Edafe, who urged all shortlisted candidates to comply strictly with the screening guidelines and schedule provided by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

According to the statement, the screening exercise in Delta State will take place at the Cenotaph, Asaba, and will be conducted strictly in line with the date and time specified on each applicant’s Invitation Slip.

The Command advised applicants to log on to the official recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to confirm their status and print the required documents ahead of the screening exercise.

It stated that candidates are expected to present their Invitation Slip showing their assigned screening table, completed screening forms, evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised medical hospital, National Identification Number (NIN) printout or NIMC card, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and Local Government or State of Origin certificate duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.

Applicants were also directed to present trade test certificates for specialists, a duly completed guarantors’ form, and both original and duplicate copies of their credentials arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.

The statement further noted that all candidates must appear for the screening exercise dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings as prescribed by the recruitment guidelines.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Aina Adesola, reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and will be conducted with transparency and merit.

He warned applicants to beware of fraudsters or individuals demanding money in connection with the exercise, stressing that anyone found engaging in such illegal activities would be arrested and prosecuted.

The command assured all eligible applicants of a smooth and credible screening exercise and advised members of the public to report any complaints or suspicious activities through the designated phone lines: 09155570008 or 09155570007.
