The Uduaghan Resource Centre to Employ more than 70

The Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan Resource Centre, also known as the “Glass House”, Obiaruku, built by the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), is to employ more than 70 persons from the Ndokwa/Ukwuani area of the commission, when fully put into use.
The commissioner representing the Ndokwa/Ukwuani at the board of the commission made this known recently to newsmen when two roads built by the commission was commissioned at Obiaruku and Ebedei.
According to the commissioner, the project was conceived as a result of the economic policies of the Uduaghan government, for Deltans to “Look Beyond Oil” in their quest for economic development.
The resource centre, is built to accommodate the office of the commission in Ukwuani LGA, and also a source of revenue to the commission, as the facility will attract patronages from individuals and corporate bodies, for meetings, events, and research and training program, in the word of the commissioner, “the facility will act as an Eco-Tourism” to the Ukwuani LGA.
The building, which will be commissioned by the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan before leaving office on May 29, 2015, has a library and research Unit, Computer Unit, Hall for seminar, meeting room, office spaces for rent, and restaurant.
Meanwhile, the commission had commissioned Uguna Road, Obiogene in Ebedei and Oriaku Road, in Obiaruku.
During the commissioning, Sir Okolugbo said that he is grateful to God and Governor Uduaghan for the privilege and magnanimity which was giving him in the position of attracting democratic dividends to his people.

In a welcome speech presented by the Onotu-Uku of Obiogene Community, chief James Obi thanked His Excellency Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan for finding the Obiogene community worthy to be part of his success story, and added: ” indeed you are finishing strong.”
The community, filled with joy, extended their gratitude to Sir Ken Okolugbo for the massive projects executed and commissioned in Ndokwa nation. “We appreciate the Honourable commissioner representing Ndokwa nation, for the massive projects executed and commissioned in Ndokwa in general, which we are part of it today. Mr Project we celebrate you.” The highly motivated Onotu-Oku, declared with enthusiasm.
High point of the occasion was the commissioning of the over 1 kilometer road by Mr. Matthew Oporoko, Hon. Commissioner special Duties DESOPADEC.
In a similar development, Sir Kenny Okolugbo also commissioned Johnson yesterday and said that the completion of the road, was a special miracle of God. He re-called that as a small boy he was in the car when his fathers car Sunk on that road the over 1Km road which is very strategic to the Obiaruku people was also commissioned by Mr Matthew Oporoko, Mr Ebunu a member of the Ulogwe community reminded the Commissioner of the transformer he earlier given them and thanked Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan for the opportunity given Sir Kenny Okolugbo to serve on the board of Desopadec
