KWALE/Nigeria: The Coordinator of the Umu Ezeti Virtual Town Hall Platform, Chuks Ododo, has welcomed Umuseti sons and daughters to 2026 with a call for renewed commitment to unity, collective action and sustainable community development.
In a New Year message, Ododo reflected on the community’s achievements in 2025, describing the year as a test of resilience that ultimately demonstrated Umuseti’s strength when its people worked together with a shared purpose. He said the period marked a shift from dialogue to measurable action across critical sectors.
According to him, the Umu Ezeti Virtual Town Hall Platform reached over 1,200 individuals through health interventions, youth development programmes, women empowerment initiatives, education support, social awareness campaigns and community recognition efforts. He disclosed that more than 340 residents benefited from free medical services, over 100 women were equipped with income-generating skills, while hundreds of students were exposed to STEM opportunities and schools strengthened through targeted support.
Ododo said the achievements underscored the danger of separating individual success from community wellbeing, warning that neglect of communal responsibilities could undermine personal progress and long-term stability.
Looking ahead, he said 2026 presents an opportunity to deepen trust, strengthen participation and align individual efforts with collective goals in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. He added that the community would build on the gains of 2025 while scaling impact under the 2025–2030 Strategic Vision for a progressive and empowered Umuseti.
He urged residents to embrace shared responsibility, accountability and service, stressing that the true strength of Umuseti lies in the commitment of its people.
Ododo thanked Umuseti sons and daughters for their support and prayers, expressing hope that 2026 would bring peace, good health and renewed purpose to families across the community.
