Obomkpa Community Applauds Principal Otakpor for Transforming Secondary School

OBOMKPA/Nigeria: The people of Obomkpa Community in Aniocha North Local Government Area have commended the Principal of Obomkpa Mixed Secondary School, Mrs. Efemena Elizabeth Otakpor, for what they described as her uncommon passion and determination in sanitising and transforming the school within a short period.

The immediate past Chairman of the Delta State Civil Service Commission, Nkem Okwuofu, made the commendation in Obomkpa, noting that Mrs. Otakpor had given the school a visible facelift and repositioned it on a path of steady improvement since assuming office.

Chief Okwuofu urged the principal to sustain her commitment to raising the standards of the school, stressing that her efforts had added significant value not only to the institution but also to the wider Obomkpa community.

She said the principal’s achievements had not gone unnoticed by community stakeholders, adding that the community had resolved to collaborate with her by playing active roles in ensuring the continued growth and development of the school.

Also speaking, the President-General of the Obomkpa Development Union, Emeka Bidokwu, praised Mrs. Otakpor for the innovations she had introduced, describing her actions as a clear demonstration of love for the school and the community.

Bidokwu called for increased support for the principal, noting that such backing was necessary to enable her sustain efforts at improving the school’s academic and moral standards for the benefit of present and future generations.

In her remarks during a Christmas Carol organised by the school, Mrs. Otakpor reaffirmed her commitment to contributing her quota towards uplifting Obomkpa Mixed Secondary School and urged students to remain focused and take their studies seriously.

She expressed appreciation to teachers for their cooperation so far and appealed for continued support to enable the school achieve its set goals.

According to her, the Christmas Carol provided an opportunity to appreciate God for the gift of life and to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, while also strengthening unity among students, staff and the community.

The event featured cultural dances and performances by students, adding colour and excitement to the ceremony.
